Is it possible to make a bigger humiliation ritual product for your fanbase than this? Or is cardboard the peak that will never be beaten?

gloat all you want snoys. nintendo will update firmware soon and you will be back to square 1.

I am genuinely curious if anyone has an idea for a product that is more worthless than cardboard, that would still be defended by blind fanboys.

please make it, make sense, i think this would be more worth buying than buying a product that will probably be shelved after a week or month just like those donkey kong bongos or that wii u draw pad.

but you just said useless, those "pebbles" can still be used, your cardboard can't besides an old ass game that no one plays anymore or can just be played without it, im not the one who wasted my money on something that should've been free in the first place.

Nintendo is a toy company that makes toys for children.
This cardboard shit would actually be fun for kids.

that's still too much for cardboard should've just been 1 dolla

>>750745859
looks like mahjong or that one japanese board game called shogi or that one scene in avatar with iroh and the lotus plant, i genuinely still see how you think this is an own when it should've been free in the first place, atleast it isn't cardboard something you can get out of a hobby store or at the back some store.

thank u anon so generous that you'd concede defeat like that, its almost like you couldn't actually come up with a reason to buy something like a Labo besides MUH kids when you could've gave them something anything better like an engine kit or some rc cardboard plane kit instead of a pointless cashgrab gimmick by nintendo
>>
>>750745982
>i genuinely still see how you think this is an own when it should've been free in the first place
I agree, this shapes of play thing looks like some shitty 3d printed toy one does just to offload filament, not something worth $80
>>

>gives an example for what can also be used as
anon, these things are collectables for adults, not a toddler toy!
>>
>>750746235
>not something worth $80
i agree it should've been like 10$ but cmon anon you should know better that selling cardboard by itself is a full-on scam, you can literally find that shit in the back of an old connivence store(pic related), also guess what most toys and products are made out? its still weird you think a product solely composing of cardboards is somehow better than made with an actual material.
>>

here you go brother, it's all yours, enjoy
https://www.nintendo.com/jp/labo/parts/index.html

retard the literal trailer showed mainly showed adults/teenagers using it, WHO in what CHILDS mind would WANT just CARDBOARD? even the wii u drawpad had more of a reasons to be bought by both kids and adults.

you wanna know what's funny the main consumers buying this were adults, so no there was no kids nor toddlers buying this shit, your making up shit in your mind anon.
>>

>>
>>750746568
anon you can anything a collectable, and it can be absurdly expensive, at least it's not trying to paint itself as a kids toy disguised as just cardboard with simple cut outs if really wanted to make a point in this argument you could've dropped the Muh kids excuse and list an actual reason for the labo's worth instead of being like, OH its free now which doesn't change the fact it profited off of at some point.

literal pic related has more worth than labo's whole lifespan.
>>
Labo came out over eight years ago.

What have you done with your life since then?
>>
>>750746758
i meant to say you can make anything into a collectable, but i accidentally cut out half of the words.
>>
>>750746758
yeah because kids never once in their lives ever dabbled with arts and craft stuff, that simply never happened
>>
>>750746927
Anon... i dont think you understands what you're saying, nintendo tried to profit off that idea with little effort put into it, all it is, is cut outs idk where the craftmanship is if there barely any effort of putting them together, its almost on the same level as those Styrofoam planes in those small bags you'd get at a hobby store or some dentist/doctor office.

once again im bringing up the wii drawpad again that was creative, it tought kids art and creativity, the labo did not considering it was meant for a few games and that was it, you can't actually use the wii drawing game without it, the labo games you can, basically making the labo pretty much pointless in the first place.
>>
>>750747104
> idk where the craftmanship is if there barely any effort of putting them together
not really dude, if you actually took the time to genuinely look into what labo offers instead of just parroting memes you'd know that it offers very simple node programming environment, which allows the user to truly make something unique
>>
>>750747398
RETARD you can do this with any basic cardboard and a small knife, just because nintendo tried to marketed cutouts doesn't make any more creative, it just makes it unnecessary, also its main gimmick was for the game WHAT ELSE would you need these for? besides the game itself which would probably get boring after a few hours or so and ditched?

that metal whatever you call them with the small screwdrivers is way more worth it than whatever this shit is
>>
I bought it and built them all. The building was fun and the games were inventive. However, you look like a complete jackass playing them.

anon i don't know if you know what these words means considering your brain probably hit a wall when you were 12 but this is called "deflecting from argument"

also how are you going to say that for a product that was meant for that main gimmick? coming from your perspective i would've thought you would wanted more by how prevalently insistent you are in trying to defend the labo and saying its super innovative and intricate when all it is a cardboard cutout marketed towards "adults who have no sense in their spending" i mean ''kids'' even though your screenshot shows adults trying to sell those designs obviously for their specified games and not just because they made them for fun.
that'd probably see the trash/shelf or in week or month or so.

>a model that requires your utmost focus
anon don't be disingenuous that actually requires more effort to put together considering you have to be gentle and careful unless you have very small hand or you'd have incomplete figurine/model just because you lost one piece, cardboard can easily be replaced since its everywhere like paper.
>>
>>750748015

lol, tell me you never assembled a gunpla without telling me you never assembled a gunpla

that one image I got was even from a post complaining about how wasteful that set is for coming with so much spare parts, you can literally see the spare parts in the background
>>
>>750748120
>reminder there's a whole board for "cutouts that's probably see the trash/shelf in a weer or month or so

anon you don't have to deflect this much, just say you were wrong and that labo is shit, i think the playstation collectables are shit as well but thats way better than trying to market regular cardboard as some sort of product unless its in bulk in a hobby store but thats literally just a bunch of cutouts with no reason to exist you can literally get 5x7 inch cardboard squares for like 15 to 12 dollars depending on what country you are from

and don't talk shit about /po they are way better than /v in every way.
>>
>>750748176
i don't do gundam, but i did do an old spitfire plane model before, honestly i think you might just be calm and collected making it easier for you to put them together unless this is one of the snap a few parts in like those companies who try to avoid copyright with some random model head.
>>
>>750748261
>>750748327
guess what? I don't cream about labo either, I think it's a neat product but nothing ultimately special. But I'm not the one having a breakdown over it 8 years after its release.
How does its existence makes you feel "humiliated" in anyway? It's papercraft tacked on the switch, if you like /po/ so much, you shouldn't mind it.

im not op so i don't why your trying to make me into your boogeyman all i said it was a literal sham and scam, which isn't comparable to a product made with actual materials that isn't found in the back of a store, and yes u can 3d print that shit, but thats way better than some regular ol cardboard, better yet i even said the playstation collectable were fucking stupid as well but you straight up ignored that and assumed i was defending it, when i was arguing it had more worth than labo since it was made with actual real materials instead of common shit.

I don't care if it's made of "actual materials", it could be made of solid gold or whatever, it's shelf litter at the end of the day. If anything being made of "premium materials" is a detriment as it only jacks up the price.
the labo at the very least can be played with, it's a videogame, not a glorified paperweight

>the labo at the very least can be played with, it's a videogame, not a glorified paperweight

so pokemon? you do know you killed ur argument the second u called it a detriment considering there's a Charizard card that is like way over 10,000$ dollar so idk what you mean by detriment when you have literal paper that is almost worth like a medium house, to some regular ass cardboard i don't know why you think it's some intricate thing nintendo made when literal who's have been doing this for years i even showed you example yet you somehow think labo is somehow better,

once again who even uses labo in this day and fucking age? what makes it any different than some regular ass cardboard plus a small knife?
>>
>>750748261
>i think the playstation collectables are shit as well but thats way better than trying to market regular cardboard as some sort of product
Okay, you are aware that Labo is actual software, right? The cardboard is a peripheral like a guitar hero controller. By comparison this shit >>750744927 is just shameful because 80 for literal wooden blocks you can only display as is
>>
>>750749126

TAKE SHARPIE AND TRACE THEM OMFG you people are literal retarded, the joycons scans it with the ir camera NOT THE FUCKING CARDBOARD ITSELF, IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO YOU CAN USE FUCKING PAPERRRRR...

so once again pointless product
>>
>>750749016
pokemon is a game first and foremost
>>
>>750749229
no one is stopping you from doing that, not even nintendo.
want me to post the link to the prints again?
>>
>>750749303
>pokemon is a game first and foremost
first when has ANYONE and i MEAN ANYONE and this whole board ever seen that overpriced Charizard card used in FUCKING tcg besides being passed around in tcg conventions
the only time i've seen tcg ever mention is either profit or the occasional tourney match i see more cards in yugioh being used than treated like a profit.
>>
>>750749379
okay anon, now please tell me how much a pokemon booster pack costs MSRP
>but the charizard card is worth a house!
official retailer only please
>>
>>750749343
then stop trying to pass labo as some intricate idea made by nintendo retard, it's literally a failed dream too big for it breeches, and no one is making you buy that 80$ collectable yet here you are whining it has no use when it was mainly sold as a collectable which is completely optional btw the labo is just cardboard yet it should've just been free from the getgo.
>>
>>750749459
are you going bring up rng and the fact people just scalp the booster pack 4$ btw and trainer boxes 50$ btw just to try to up price them on ebay?
>>
>>750749485
failed?
>>
>>750749523
>are you going bring up rng
no I'm not, that specific charizard card was a pretty common one from the 1st edition. It gets scalped BECAUSE it's cheap
>>
>>750749541
anon you really are retarded, nintendo fans are literal cattle basically changing nothing, if anything the product should've kept releasing things this was nothing more than a failure considering they had released their schematics free online once it stop selling.
>>
>>750749615
>once it stop selling.
It was available from day one, no need to come up with headcanons
>>
>>750749592
yet it sold at an up price stake and guess what there are more to come, it still doesn't change the fact the leftover cards that aren't reprinted are going to get all bought and up priced just like 1st edition charizard last i check there was a 1st edition bulba increasing in price rn just like charizard.
>>
>>750749649
i think u misheard me i meant profits fag not the product itself
>>
>>750749673
so? what does that has to do with anything in that discussion??
booster packs are and always were sold for cheap, right? four dollars correct?
>>
>>750749749
LMAO HE DOESN'T KNOW, its all going to go downhill once they reprints stop also the fact there more scalpers in this world that they can pretty much splooge all their money on boosters so no one can get them.

one of the groccey stores i lived next had A WHOLE pokemon vending machine stocked with pokemon packs, few weeks later ALL GONE you underestimate your own fans.

One of the early 'camera for the masses' was a Kodak Brownie, a camera made for a large part out of cardboard covered in leatherette. Kinda amazing how such a material can actually be part of a great little thing that changed the world, and after more than a century some of these are still around in working condition.
Not that the labo stuff is on that level tho.
>>
>>750749854
I don't know what's the point of you drifting off the subject to scalping, who cares? I don't.
I'll say it again: what makes pokemon cards so easy to scalp is their accessible pricing
>>
>>750749854
>splooge all their money on boosters so no one can get them
to what end, just owning them? children don't have the capitol to buy scalped cards on ebay and parents aren't going to spend $2000 on a charizard card. scalpers want to sell them, and nobody is going to buy them if they're priced out. this concept of "theoretical future value" has basically never paid off, and we've seen it happen dozens of times
>>
>>750749939
im just going to let you tweak out until you realize that reprinting the first edi Charizard won't do shit lmao, its still going be passed around conventions and not see an actual tcg battle unless its for flexing your wealth.
>>
>>750750045
yeah? okay? nintendo labo though????????????????????????????
>>
>>750750068
you said it was detrimental to own an 80-dollar collectable hence why i brought the 1st charizard considering it's nothing but a collectable to flex, difference is that one is more expensive than the other one while barely being used for its intended purpose while one can used in many ways if you really wanted to but we won't get into that conversation considering this thread is about die.
