it's really not that bad
stone temple tower in majora is 100% more annoying
actually that whole game is more annoying
>>
>>750729075
Just uhhh… clip to the boss?
>>
>>750729257
That's cheating.
>>
>>750729282
You’ve beaten it before haven’t you? It’s like skipping a cutscene you’ve already seen ;)
>>
>>750728637
it's fine if you can bind the boots to something, constantly opening and closing the equip screen is what makes it a slog

Real Zelda fans love the Water Temple. It's Zelda in its purest form.

Heh, you know it's funny... water is what we need to live... but drinking all that water would kill you... we're kind of like Link ourselves like that... if you think about it...
>>
>>750729381
this but unironically, most of the 3D dungeons in Zelda are just glorified hallways with maybe two or three siderooms
>>
>>750729336
No. This is my first time playing it. Not in preparation for the remake, because I don't like the idea of a remake coming out before I beat the original. I kept putting it off because I procrastinate a lot, and now I'm in a race against time.
>>
>>750729512
>but unironically
I wasn't being ironic. What the fuck made you think I was?
>>
>>750729465
woah... deep... like lake hylia...
>>
>>750728637
There's nothing wrong with the water temple. The thing is that it's a dungeon with 2D Zelda spirit in a 3D Zelda game. People want everything to be Wind Waker tier easy instead of thinking. I beat it blind no problem.
>>
>>750730047
Wind Waker is hard af.
>>
>>750730202
How? I don't think I ever felt it was hard. Like, I can't name a single moment where I got stuck or anything
>>
>>750728637
It's actually pretty easy when you know what order to go in.

Just start by completing the bottom floor rooms, and then work your way up by completing all the rooms on one floor at a time.

And get the key from the hidden room under the block in the middle tower.
>>
>>750730297
>hidden
The (3DS) remake fixed this by making the camera show you that place, making it impossible to miss. Back in the day I just had to look around trying everything until I found it. I didn't really mind, I enjoyed walking around and finding a way to make my way to the end.
>>
As a kid it sucked because I was like 8 or whatever.
As an adult it's fine once you get the map and compass.
>>
When i was a kid i thought dungeon keys were universal, so i could get a key in a different dungeon and then bring it to the water temple.
>>
>>750731125
I was 8 and beat it in like 4 hours, which I still remember being fun, you were and probably still are just a fucking retard
>>
Its got the hardest boss and miniboss at least. I remember needing two red potions and a fairy to defeat that water goo enemy. For Ganon I just needed a fairy for each phase.
>>
>>750729734
talking for other people is the usual giveaway
>>
>>750728637
Water temple is severely overmemed, just like navi. If you have an IQ higher than 80 you will be fine.
>>
>>750733668
>Water temple is severely overmemed, just like navi.
every time you turn onthe consle (and every 15 mins thereafter) navi will say "HEY!" to you to inform you of the current state of the game (that you are likely already aware of).
and if you don't press the c-up button, she will continue to harp into your ear until you do.
>>
>>750733668
This. I never understood the Navi hate. She doesn't talk that much. Actually, I kinda missed her during MM cus Tatl barely spoke
>>
>>750728637
I just finished replaying this. I remembered the key in the center tower room, but forgot about the one in the room with the 2 dragon statues and the whirlpool. Must have looped through all the water levels 3 times before I realized
>>
>>750732725
Morpha was always the easiest boss for me and I honestly found it underwhelming the first time I played the game. Dark Link is pure kino though.
>>
>>750728637
You drank the fucking lake?!
>>
>>750733778
>if you don't press the c-up button, she will continue to harp into your ear until you do.
I don't remember this. As far as I remember, she only said "hey" and nothing else, no matter if you pushed the button or not. Even so, when you did, she only said one thing, didn't she? Like, a single text box every time.
>>
>>750733668
It's not hard, just tedious. Great Bay is superior in every way
>>
>>750728942
>Lake Hylia after Ganondorf installs a data center in kokiri forest
>>
>>750733864
I just wish OOT had Majora's swordplay...
>>
>>750733903
>Even so, when you did, she only said one thing, didn't she?
She would offer you a good 5 seconds of you not playing the game to inform you that you should probably go to the HR department and contact Sara to figure out what to do next.
>>
>>750730202
I thought it was too easy even for 3d zelda. Just fucking tedious.
>>
>>750733805
I like that tatl just has cute little rings though. Even if she is a rude piece of shit. Still better than that sycophantic annoying fairy from OOT
>>
IN THE CENTRAL TOWER
RAISE THE WATER LEVEL
USE THE IRON BOOTS
TO SINK TO THE BOTTOM
THE KEY YOU MISSED IS IN THE BASEMENT
FOR 30 YEARS
IN THE BASEMENT
STOP FORGETTING ABOUT IT
>>
>>750730047
the water temple isn't hard or complex it's just tedious
>>
>>750734568
Navi won me over in this scene
>>
>>750733668
the water levels significantly challenge the average attention span. Its a combination of being forgetful and gating content behind multiple consecutive keys that is an incredible filter
>>
>>750733864
how did the devs intend for the player to fight dark link without dins fire or the hammer? it just feels like blind luck
>>
>>750735216
They didn't. The point is that he outplays you if you try to fight him fairly, so you have to "cheat" by using your other tools to win.

...Actually, I've heard you can hit him with the Master Sword as long as you aren't Z-targeting, but I don't think I've tried that strategy myself.
>>
>>750735665
In my last playthrough I wanted to see what the fight could be like with sword only and its very inconsistent. dark link input reads with such priority that its like taking a bunch of hits until one of yours can catch him offguard
>>
>>750736292
I've also heard crouch-stabs are a great way to catch him off-guard.
To be fair, the developers do expect the player to have the hammer here since the intended order for the temples is Forest -> Fire -> Water.
>>
>>750736728
I think having dins is definitely intended because the room before has the big magic pots to refill you to max.
Megaton still feels kind of unintended, but I think it was the fallback for players who refused to get the biggorron sword for this and ganon
>>
>>750735056
It was very comforting to have her being able to Z target Ganondorf, even if she comically gave absolutely no useful information for the fight itself.
>>
>>750735216
Always felt like you could just out DPS him
>>
>>750737113
Megaton is completely optional, it's completely useless outside of the fire temple and therefore the temple can be done whenever you like not strictly after the forest one.

What a retard.
I know nothing about that creepypasta since I was like 20 when it was big and I just assumed it was for 12 year olds.
>>
>>750742059
This is really scary you don't know how scared I am of old N64 games and something like this happening. I refuse going into the water fuck that shit fuck dire dire ducks and its beautiful music.
>>
>>750728637

>>
>>750742748
You can get more. You should have more at this point. You aren't exploring enough.
>>
>>750743057
god imagine how good that must feel haha
>>
>>750742449
I was like 7 when SM64 came out, and I had constant nightmares about quicksand and the lava painting. Nice to see it wasn't just me.
>>
>>750743095
Sorry I don't feel like doing minigames.
>>
>>750743173
Then you are missing half the game. Also, it's not in any minigame. Mini games usually give you heart pieces. You kids and your attention deficit.
>>
>>750743214
I got more enjoyment out of System Shock, a game that filtered many people.
>>
>>750743253
Alright, little bro. You do you.
>>
>>750743282
You too, millennial bro. Have fun with your burger joint that plays stomp clap hey slop 24/7.
>>
>>750743424
Before I leave this thread, I have to say I don't understand why you are angry. I think you have issues, little bro. I was being nice to you, and you shit your pants.
>>
>>750743465
You implied I have a low attention span because I didn't want to do any minigames (at the moment anyway). I hope you manage to pay off your student loan debt, millennial bro.
>>
>>750728637
all the dungeons are braindead toddler easy without exception
>>
Why do people make the water temple a gen z thing? People got stuck on it back then, too. So stuck they thought they were softlocked.
