>Visuals: 10/10>Atmosphere: 10/10>Fun: 0/10I really wanted to like this game, but playing it only makes me bored and angry
>>750727294Don't Starve happens to be a niche game I've played on and off since middle school during the beta when I'd play on my parents constantly overheating DELL laptop with chunky keys and a touchpad.I've learned the basics but rarely get through more than just 2 seasons on average. Yes, the aesthetics, music and theme are all great but the gameplay has always been frustrating unless you're fine constantly typing down things to remember in a note app or microsoft word doc.I still pick it up for a little while almost every year just for the comfy aesthetics.I'm hoping DS Elsewhere fixes the netcode issues in DST and gives more neat gimmicks for each character tonplay around with.
>>750727294My girlfriend played a shit load of this
>>750727294is this still getting updates?
It's probably the only game I hate that I've played this much.
Its a good game but worlds take too long to set up and gets overwhelming if you have no idea what you're doing. Which is the best part but the problem with that is you'll never learn what to do by yourself, you'll need the wiki. Especially in Don't Starve Together holy fuck.
>>750729463that was a troon for sure
sweaty larp sex with Wigfrid
>>750729820The original was abandoned years ago and their last DLC was left unfinished. DST has gotten consistent updates since but was bought by Tencent. Still a fun game though with friends despite that. The nigger characters rarely get picked by randos I've played with too>>750730374NTA but lots of real girls like this game and get autistic with it. It's the only thing outside of farming games I see them play alot.
>>750727294Honestly the main problem is that it was originally designed as a game where combat would be the last resort but nowadays all main content progression needs it in a game with shitty combat mechanics.
>>750727294I've been playing it since childhood on and off and I only finished the story mode of the original without the DLC a couple years backit was... honestly bad. Don't starve is best played as an endless survival game - they really need to add some kind of end goal to the survival or make the story about the actual survival
>>750727294The only DLC I can't play is Hamlet, in like 20 runs I lasted 5 days at most in each. Granted my goal was never to survive as long as possible but explore.
