How the hell did this get an 89 on metacritic? It’s fine, it’s another indie Metroidvania, but why did this game get such high reviews? Just seems like an easier version of Hollowknight 2 to me

That's how it got an 89. Normalniggers got hard filtered by Silksong

My review
>good movement but nothing crazy
>charming visuals and story but nothing crazy
>combat is merely serviceable, I could literally just ignore boss attack patterns and out DPS them for the vast majority of fights by using a few trinkets
>most puzzles are very very easy
>collectible upgrades like currency and trinket slots are too easy to obtain
Was like the definition of a 7/10 for me. Standard metroidvania slop that gets released every week on Steam. Baffles me why it got such crazy scoring
