The snow queen route is more like a side route in that it doesn't exactly have much to do with the main plot, like the school gets frozen and it centers around this cursed mask that's haunted the school and you go a bunch of towers that center around previous students who've worn their mask which centers on their psychological issues, so it's quite persona in that regard. The SEBEC route is the actual main plot. The way P2 references it is that both of them happened. When you do finish the snow queen route in P1 it basically ends with the characters going "shit's going down in the SEBEC building, we should go over there', so the implication is after the snow queen route the rest of the SEBEC route would happen, but then it ends, since in P1 you either play the snow queen route or you play the sebec route.

I beat Metaphor and it was a decent game, it definitely was overhyped by paid off Atlus influencers though. The side dungeons/sidequests were really awful. Also Louis, despite the decent design and presentation of his character, had incredibly boring nothing boss fights because of his braindead AI.
