No, im honestly as nervous as Aonuma is. BoTW and ToTk were both so fuckign amazing my heart honestly weeps for the OoT Remake. Not only does it have to follow up 2 of the literal best games of all time, its also has to put up with vile nostalgiafag ootsnoys that shit on everything post-MM/TP.

Theres no way this game is going to get its fair shake
>>
never played the original, won't play this slop either. Zelda ruined gaming,
>>
>>750710952
I don't have a Switch 2, so no, I'm not excited...
>>
>>750710952

>>
I dont have a switch 2 or pc to emulate it
>>
>>750710952
Never finished the original (played it when it came out) So this will be a brand new game essentially. Extremely pumped
>>
>>750711227
iphone can emulate it
>>
>>750711147
Why are 20 yrolds like this. Though TotK did ruin gaming showing the profitability of 70 IQ Brazil gamers.
>>
I'm only in it for the Malon, and to see how much they'll retcon to the detriment of the larger story arc they made between oot-mm-ww-tp. Or will they actually do what they should do, and lean into those ties more. I'll be watching the cutscenes at least.

My sweet summer DLC loving child... may your shekel purse be empty, and your gameplay derivative.

Cry me a fucking river. The only valid reason to be nervous would be if they had the balls to make an RE4 remake that meaningfully changed the gameplay experience of OoT. Instead they made a cowardly bluepoint remake and also decided to make insignificant casualized changes to make a game that was already made for children even simpler.
It frustrates me to no end that modern game devs simplify games for kids. The modern era has youtube guides which are monkey see monkey do visual handholding. Modern 4 year olds can and do follow guides to recreate complex redstone industrial machines in minecraft. The children have superior tools and access to them, they can handle more challenge than we ever could using those tools. I can't speak for everyone but using our limited resources I beat OoT when I was 6. Hell, BotW and TotK are significantly more complex than OoT and obviously the kids managed just fine. What is the argument for simplifying an even simpler game?

I was previously excited for the remake. Then more time passed. I realized that I had recently played the 3DS remake. I realized that this new remake was going to feel repetitive to me. OoT is a great game for the time. It would have blown my mind back in the day if I hadn't skipped the N64. I don't feel like it has the replay value of movement based games like Mario 64. There isn't really much to explore unless they vastly expanded the game either. Outside of pure autism I don't see the replay value. It's more like a checklist of chores do. I'm not saying that to be insulting. It's just that once you've solved a puzzle in a puzzle game or collected all the things once, it's just kind of dull doing it over and over again. If there was some kind of scoring mechanism, then maybe I'd be more excited. Or if a hard challenge mode was for sure included in the game? I know you can set personal challenges, but the more videos and discussion I've consumed about this remake the more I'm realizing that I'd rather replay BotW or keep going on my TotK playthrough. There's just more to do in those. I'm a certified gaming unc at this point, so this should appeal to me but... meh? I don't know.

>>750710952

babifying the game kills my interest, I don't know why it's so hard to just make these things toggleable accessibility settings
