What'ya playin? How is it?I finished Fatal Frame 1 and 2 this week. I've always heard Crimson Butterfly being praised for its story, but to me it wasn't all that impressive. Most of the plot is just a rehash of the first game, there are more better written characters in it but that's it. Though at least the way it ties to 1 makes it more justifiable. They made ghosts way too tanky, late game those fodder villagers and blind fucks can take a combo with a fully upgraded zero lense to the face and brush it off, they should've kept the longer focus = more dmg mechanic from 1 and it would've made the game much better. Although making the ghosts slower but more in your face was a good design choice. It was also bigger than 1 yet felt smaller because it takes place in a village instead of a mansion yet you only get to visit 4 houses in the entire game. I think graphics and animations were the greatest improvements. Overall I liked it more than 1, but not by much. I still have to get my hands on 3, 4 and 5. And for those who played the whole series, how would you rank them?
I've played the original 1 and 2, the 2 Remake and the PC ports of 4 and 5. That said, I don't see the point of this thread. Opinions are subjective and if you already played the first two games you can just play the rest and arrive to your own conclusions.
I am gonna play Multi player Luigis Mansion 2 and Mario Party 2 with me brother. And im gonna try to make progress in HorrorVale.
