Anyone else have buyers remorse?
Not at all, there are tons of great exclusives to play
>>750704906No. It's just you. It's always just you. You keep making these threads and telling yourself there are no games while ignoring everything that just came out.
>>750704906No, I don't regret buying the Switch 2 at all!
>>750704906lol, pcjeets and snoys think they are slick
>>750704906Kinda. Duskbloods got delayed and that's the only reason to own it because of the online play when everything else can be emulated. I really liked the Switch 2 initially but I should have bought a UMPC instead I guess.
>>750704906Only disadvantage of new emulators is not being to able to access online play (No, LAN or Persec doesn't count).
Why would I? I'm playing in my bed right now.
>>750704906I did but then I stopped playing Nintendo games (Pokemon, Zelda) and I love it now.
I have remorse for anti-Nintendo weirdos.
Not even slightly, since now I know my console can be hacked
>>750704906No? I'm playing kingdom hearts on mine
>>750705335>>750706110honestly, this its the best JRPG machine rn
>>750704906I solely bought this retarded ass tablet the moment the exploit was annouced and mods became possible. I might just return it if emulation keeps accelerating at this rate.
>>750705335yukatruka
No. I have more buyers remorse for my xbox since I only use it for bluerays now since they fucked up certain aspects of visual studio for developing for it
>>750705335It's nice to be able to fuck Yukari portable
>Pokopia multiplayer now running on emulatorIt's OVER.
>>750704906some. i just use it for splatoon and animal crossing at this point.
I'm selling my PS5 since I'll just emulate GTA
>>750706348NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No I’m happy that poor people get to enjoy it now too. I’m not poor so I don’t mind covering their tab
I didn't expect this to all happen so quickly. Nintendo went from a seemingly invincible position (muh unhackable fastest selling console!) to losing everything to PC Chads.
>>750706906yeah maybe if you area terminally online schizo
Genuine question, how does anyone ever get buyer's remorse for anything?Did you buy a console without knowing exactly which games you were buying for it and calculating if it were worth the cost? Did you research zero of the games? Did you not look at even a single upcoming title? This was maybe excusable in the 60s when your only choice was blindbags at Blockbuster but I feel like there are several steps you have to outright skip and ignore to come even remotely close to feeling remorse. How does this happen?
No, I have kids so it keeps them quiet whilst I'm doing shit.
>>750706906Fibby bibby my fellow fibber bibber. Except, one small problem. Switch 2 costs $500 while a PC master race compliant battlestation rig costs $2000+. Why do you think the two even comparable? Even the PC master race supports handhelds.
>>750707458Some people are stupid and will impulse buy a whole console on the way home from work, just to play a new release for a few hours that night. Thats the only instance I can think of
>>750704906I'm white, so no
I did until last week when they started hacking it, now Im fine because I know Ill be able to pirate games soon
>>750707458Most people don't think much before making a purchase
I enjoy mine
There's a tranny on Twitter that managed to port MKW and Pokopia to Switch 1, at playable speeds lmao
Quick reminder for the rule of thumb:Add up the MSRP of every game you plan on IMMEDIATELY purchasing alongside the consoleIf the combined total is equal to or more than how much you're paying for the console, it's a good purchaseThis works for every generation and every piece of hardware, and has never gone wrong
>>750708004$500+$80+$80+$140+$120+$25+$50+$70 = $1065 for me since June WASTED
>>750708141>got more than your money's worth>wastedHuh?
>>750704906i don't get buyers remorse for anything since i have nothing else to spend my money oni used my switch 1 literally like 4x then gave it to my niece
>>750706329Good ol' Ormille!
I baughted the Switch 1 for Monster Hunter Rise. I was travelling a lot at the time so it seemed like a good idea but it's fucking gigantic and a pain in the ass to carry around. Rise also got ported eventually
>>750707458I got buyer's remorse once with the Steam Deck because the thing was a disaster in practice even compared to a Switch 1, and it only exacerbated my opinion of PC gaming instead of reinvigorating it. Then again I did the mistake to trust Internet opinions on this thing when it was used often as a ammo for shitposts.
>>750707651I sincerely hope you never updated your Switch 2.
>>750708004So it's always worth buying Nintendo consoles since they have $80 games that never get discounted? lmao
>>750704906Let me get this straight, the Switch 2 was jailbroken but not completely so ninty faggots can't play switch 2 games for free on their precious little toy but everyone else can emulate them?
>>750709701Ye
I bought a switch just so I could play SMTV. Later that week SMTV was announced for PC
>>750709701The exploit was userland, not a kernel one meaning that it's not an actual hack but you don't get a proper Switch2 emulator yet either, as so far it's just Switch 1 emulator wrappers vibecoded through AI.
>>750704906I'm an idiortI have no regrets, only many excess electronics that I've collected since my PC inevitably will do everything eventually anyway
>>750709550They mostly sell $60 games that go on sale 8 times a year, snoy
>>750709550Just don't buy them at MRSP. I got ER on switch 2 for 60 thru Playasia
>>750704906>Bought a Switch 2 before the price hike so I can play Duskbloods>Entire console security gets raped 2 months later and I wasted $400What the fuck bros...Do you think I'll be able to sell this at it's original price or more?
>>750709550“Never goes on sale”
>>750709429I'm sorry you fell for the 'eck hype. That brick is only good for emulation and you can buy a better and cheaper handheld for that
>>750704906I can practice delayed gratification, so I rarely get buyers' remorse. Now that I think of it, I've never really had buyers' remorse - there's nothing I've purchased that I continue to dwell on. I use my Switch 2 almost every day, and I have a fairly strict distinction between my PC and Switch 2 as productivity and entertainment devices, respectively. However, the most (subjectively) valuable thing I own is my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet Gen 3. I love that thing.
Nope, I have no regrets. Mario Kart World and Bananza are great fun, I love the Star Fox multiplayer, and I'm excited for the OoT remake because I never played the original
>>750704906No, because I didn't buy it. Maybe all do in a Christmas sale or something, or buy a used one.
>>750711334I suggest trying the original on NSO or on PC to better appreciate the remake. If you're on PC, use a controller. Without using any guides, you can probably get past the first dungeon in a day.
>>750704906i own it, holding out for when a kernel exploit starts accelerating development but otherwise there's not a ton of exclusives that interest me enough to immediately want to rush to emulationlooking forward to ravenous though
Nope, not at all. I was a little worried about the screen at first, but the increased DPI was worth it.
I didn't have regrets for the S1 when it got hacked and I don't have regrets for the S2. I don't care that there are brownoids playing these games for free. All this port begging and trying to get these games playable on PC as fast as possible using AI just proves how badly people want to play S2 games
>>750710229Yea you should just sell it. You'll definitely be able to emulate Duskbloods and connect to Nintendo's servers from your PC.
>>750704906I'm still going to buy one. For my nephew.
As a PC gamer, I'm tired of winning. After all these recomps, ps4 recomps, ps5 emulator, anyps5 recomps and now switch 2 emulation that will soon have recomps too. I have so many games to play, it's tiresome
>>750704906anon this is where the fun begins, homebrew dev will decide how interesting this thing can get
>>750712668Taking a break from samefagging in other threads?
>>750704906No not really
>>750712668>PCYou are not a gamer
>>750704906Nope. Nintendo can't help your shit taste in video games.
>>750707458>Did you buy a console without knowing exactly which games you were buying for it and calculating if it were worth the cost? This is most people who bought a Wii U. Why is that surprising to you?
>>750709429>>750711052This is the first I've really heard anything bad about it. What's wrong with it?
>>750709429>>750711052The Deck WAS good when it came out, but you'd be an idiot to buy one today.
>>750704906I bought one, beat MKW and sold it after 2 weeks. Couldn't even play more than 5 minutes of monkey banana loli. And I'm glad thay I did because now I can play it 4k 60 fps on my PC
>>750704906It's a pretty neat console and despite my issues with Nintendo in the past I think they are a force for good in the industry so I'm okay with paying for their games
>>750713897Switch 2 has most games everywhere else though.
No, I still occasionally do some rounds of knockout tours, try to get the true ending of kirby air rider’s road trip mode, and go through my switch 1 backlog, and I still haven’t gotten the chance to get some of the new exclusives this year.
>>750704906No because I only bought one to play Pokémon again.
You can literally only play 3rd party games and still get your money's worth out of it. This ain't the Wii era
>>750713761yeah, I never liked the word "gamer" it's made up by retarded consumers who define themselves by what they waste their money on, literal brain dead people.
>>750704906I have pirating remorse>emulate SMT3 nocturne >make it two thirds into the game>stuck in a room with nowhere else to go>look up online, there's suppose to be a ladder here, but the emulator (PCSX2) didn't render the ladder>wasted my time, can't finish the game
>>750704976I emulate.
How else are you gonna play Xenoblade though?
>>750707575>I have kidsLoser
>>750714432That seems to be an ancient bug from 2012, not even listed in the wiki, though.https://wiki.pcsx2.net/index.php?title=Shin_Megami_Tensei:_NocturneHave a go at adding it.
>>750714661thanks anon, but it's been so long, im not sure i even have the save file
All these PCvegans are going to become non-consenting tendies soon.
>>750714449>At 720p, 22fps>With Crashes >Buggy menu and unplayable past itForgot to include that part, also post specs, macaco
>>750704906Nah, I like playing on my bed. Besides, no way my toaster will be able to emulate it, it can barely run Digimon Time Stranger.
>>750715402In your dreams, schizo.
>>750715661I'm literally in my bed right now. What, you think think this is the 90s? Wanna see? :3
>>750707458>how does anyone ever get buyer's remorse for anything?I've had it a few times, I'm extra special. Initially with the PS3. I was wowed by the marketing materials and thought it was the next generation, THE FUTURE. I only ended up playing a handful of games over the entire lifespan, it ended up being a Netflix machine. At that point I already had a gaming PC, so mostly I just used that while the PS3 collected dust. Same thing happened with the PS4 but different circumstances. I didn't have a gaming PC at the time, hadn't played video games for over a year and saw a trailer for No Man's Sky. It looked interesting enough for me to buy the console, but same thing it just became a brick because No Man's Sky was awful. Third time it was with the XBONE. I was a big fan of RDR and thought it would be worth it to buy an XBONE to play RDR2, but I got bored of RDR2 a few hours in. The other two times I had started buying lame games to justify the console purchase. I owned a handful of PS3 and 4 games bought solely to feel like less of an idiot. Games that I had to force myself to play. None of these titles were really noteworthy as video games, they were just expensive accessories to an expensive brick. With the XBONE I only played RDR2 then it became an ugly box on the TV stand. An entire console for one game I didn't like. For me, past the Xbox 360, consoles just haven't been worth it. There's always a few killer apps but they aren't worth the price of the entire device. Xbox 360 was unique because of the online culture it had that carried over from XBOX. It was worth having because that's where the party was. More and more consoles just can't sell themselves to me and once you transition to PC only, they really are just a shitty PC that has a few good games shackled to it. I don't really count Nintendo because it's more of an early childhood device and all they do is remake the same games for a new generation of kids.
