Hey /v/ it's me, John Video Games.Because of the scarcity of RAM worldwide, customers are no longer buying video game consoles and PCs so we've decided to make Arcade machines again.Give us (YOU)r perfect pitch to make this business deal work out for everyone.
make a game that jerks you off
>>750705082Sorry lad, we have a hard time figuring out what this should look like.Could you make a diagram of what it should look like?
>>750704812Stern, JJP, and Spooky have already mastered this craft. Barrels of Fun are entering the market as well, with Winchester Mystery House being so good. But. Bon Jovi being so utterly shit really hurt the good faith they were building. Hopefully JJP's sonic machine takes off and it encourages them to make a Megaman one.
I would unironically prefer the world to return to arcade than anything becoming cloud based.
>>750705620I recently got to try the Pokemon pinball machine. It was neat. I was shit at it but the idea of catching Pokemons while playing Pinball was a lovely idea. Makes me want to play it again.
>>750706220You might like the DnD or Ninja Turtles machines as well. They each allow you to level up characters and maintain meta progression (the only others off the top of my head that allow meta progression). Stern in general also has achievements and random quests. I wish other pin companies were doing this, because I generally prefer JJP machines to Stern machines but I like meta progression and I like being given random combos to hit every month.
For me, the main appeal of an arcade are the immersive controls. Shooters with light guns and reloading by tapping the magazine. Racing games with actual steering wheels, pedals and shaking seats Flight games with a stick, throttle and pedals Unfortunately a lot of smaller arcades around me don't have many, or any at all.
>>750705729arcade machines would all be cloud based to cut costs and counter piracy
>>750705729>prefer the world to returnNo you don't because all the faggot wannabe influencers would be there all the time to take pictures with the machines all day for internet cred. Just wish improvements for the ones that already exist so we can enjoy them.
John you're aware arcade machines also need RAM right?
>>750707493So you're saying realistic simulators may be the future of arcades? You're a visionary, anon. You get a raise.
>>750708045Yes, I'm quite aware. But by buying a couple of Machines you could have a couple hundred of gamers play.So instead of 100 gamers buying 100 machines, we have 10-15 machines for 100 gamers.
There's huge untapped potential in Arcade games, especially because you can make custom tactile controls, it's just that developers don't have a monetary incentive to make "good" arcade specific games anymore because that would terribly limit their sales compared to just making it for consoles or PC. All the new arcade games I've seen in Japan were rhythm games or some kinda social gacha games that require a phone application to save your progress. (Gundam something and Fate something.)
>>750704812Free arcades in the hood with free malt liquor for patrons. We make a profit by streaming the fights that break out.
Are there still the FUCK ARCADES taxes and regulations from the 90s?
