I love Pikmin but if the direction the series is going in is "uwu cute wholesome" and "OMG look how cute the Pikmin are!!" then I have lost all interest.At this point, if they could get away with removing the ability for Pikmin to die, they 100% would. They'd also remove enemy corpses.
Pikmin had one amazing game, one decent sequel, and everything since then has been middling at best. It has turned into a “lifestyle brand” like Splatoon where people only care about it for the cutesy feels and the merchandise.

>>750702765Yeah, I'm fine with the idea of the Pikmin being cute and all, that's part of what endears them to you, but making it the entire focus is a bit much. The original (at least tonal) focus was more about the contrast between that and how cruel nature is, not giving a fuck about these cute little guys being eaten or squashed while you're in danger of dying. I feel like a lot of the naturalist element that was present in the first two games has largely been lost.
