How do you deal with intense anger in online PVP games?I manage to quickly calm myself down after an outburst and apologize if I'm playing with friends, but I'd like suppress the desk slams and annoying complaining altogether. Or at least find a better way to cope. I know why I get angry and I specifically try to tell myself not to act out on it while in queue... But when it happens, I forget all about it and I go from 0 to 100 in a second.

I only play co-op or single player games. PvP makes me too angry.
Advice will be mixed because this natural inclination to lash out when you lose competitively is stronger in some than others and it can be a combination of nature and nurture that influences this. For me personally I generally avoid high stakes competitive multiplayer for this reason, I play games to have fun and getting genuinely upset over a loss isn't fun, and I don't consider it healthy either.Once I lost a game and took one of those mesh laundry baskets and tossed it across my bedroom. It was empty and did nothing obviously but it was so embarrassing to me to have done that that I started making a more conscious effort to regulate my emotions and choose my battles more carefully. You'll find your own way, I'm sure.
