I bought a huge VA TV with tons of local dimming zones, expecting deeper blacks. Instead, dark pre-rendered cutscenes in my games are full this ugly shit theyn call "macroblocking", the cutscenes literally look like low quality WEBMS. Turns out this doesn't happen in OLED.I feel so duped...
>>750697180Should have got an OLED.
>>750697362It was twice as expensive as the VA and I'm afraid of burn-in
Have had a c2 for over 3 years, no burn-in. Only thing i did was hide taskbar, dark theme and 15 minute screen timeout.
>>750697375Anon, I’ve been using an OLED tv as a monitor since 2020. Is there burn in?Probably. Have I ever noticed it? No. Idgaf and use it. It’s amazing. Not to mention, OLEDs made today are way better at preventing burn in than mine is. With Black Friday coming up you might be able to snag one at a good price.
>>750697476Yeah but you probably don't use it for 18+ hour a day like me.
>>750697582>Not to mention, OLEDs made today are way better at preventing burn in than mine isThat's not true.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRS7eOceIDY
>>750697623>torture testingYou are retarded.
>>750698021I game for 16+ hours a day. My scenario is pretty much the same as torture testing.
>cheap out>cheap out thing happensLOL?
>>750697591No, more like 6-12 and i play different games.
>>750697591so what bro, just get a 500 dollar 27 inch oled, if it gets burn in repurpose or dump it and get a new one, the tech is changing and evolving fast and you can try different types of OLEDs with matte or glossy finish
