FITS don't affect stats. All characters have the exact same stats no matter what class they're using. Cloud's attack stat was nerfed in Rebirth, while Tifa's was buffed. Cloud's meant to be a jack-of-all-trades, while Tifa's only good for hitting things.All FITS will do is amplify each character's overall utility, but their overall strengths and weaknesses won't change. If you make both Cloud and Tifa black mages, Cloud will probably outperform her in the role no matter what.
