How did it become the greatest RPG of them all?

It absolutely drips soul.
>>750693926Balance is good enough to let you play whatever you want. Fun characters. Cool aesthetics. Good music. It adapts to your choices enough to make you feel what you do matters.
got a little of everything
it just works
they added co-op
>>750693926Endless tranny discord propaganda that it's the GOAT RPG has helped secure its position as the GOAT RPG in public discourse despite the initial reviews for its lacklustre release being 100% accurate. Nintendo has a similar reality-distortion field around it to the point zoomers are convinced GameCube was the main console of its era and not the redheaded stepchild to the PS2's supremacy.Tldr: as always, trannies are to blame

>>750694780by 2003 the PS2 was just a DVD player that everyone had tucked in the corner of their entertainment center.
>>750693926It didn't. Hooe this helps.
>>750694017>ReplyableOne pf the rare RPGs I completed omce and got burned out on so I never bothered with again. Might return for a Legion path, maybe.
one of the things people never talk about when talking about this game is the ridiculous arsenal of weapons, you can build any character and have special weapons for that character for any situationyou can make an explosives character and you'll have weapons from level 1 to high level, same with energy weapons, guns, melee/unarmed, you could even mod in a big guns mod and you'd still have shit to useit's fun to replay because there are multiple choices but it's also fun to replay because you can just max any skill and build around that skill and it's cool, it's cool to have gecko armor with the mantis glove, or just an explosives guy with mines and c4s luring your enemies over them
>>750694864Applicable to any thread but one about new vegas, which has such well proven tranny linkage that trying to discuss it without them is the real denial of reality
>>750693926I don't think it's that great, but it bitchslaps Bethesda, so it's alright with me.
>>750693926Lots of options. Not as much reactivity as some modern rpgs tho, but that may even be appealing in some cases.
>>750693926It's very approachable, in a good way. World building is good, and everyone likes how events intersect with other things so your choices end up mattering.
