The art style has its charm im some aspects but looks crappy in others. Seems like it might be fun but also repetitive which might get boring. Thinking of getting it on sale. To those who have played it what are you thoughts on the pros and cons of this game?
>>750680420I liked it. Felt like the sort of transformation puzzles that Shantae has been failing to have for twenty years. Humor is okay but similar to Guacamelee kind of hit or miss. A lot of the abilities and forms are clever, and once you can start combining attributes there's some neat stuff even if your alpha rotation of the most generically powerful/useful shit gets a bit stale. Definitely not a game I'd say you're missing out on if you don't play it but it has enough unique shit to be worth your time if it already interests you.
>To those who have played it what are you thoughts on the pros and cons of this game? It's decent. The combat is pretty fun and the pacing was solid. My main issue is that it's an open world game that doesn't take itself seriously. I don't mind going on the comedic ride, but open games require a much high amount of emotional investment to feel meaningful. It's hard to care about the story if the game doesn't care about its own story. It's not a good combination.
