Yeah, outside of combat it has some shortcomings, and there are a handful of balance concerns or ill-designed enemies, but God DAMN is THAT how you do FUCKING combat!

I couldn't finish it, I'm all fromsofted out. Only so many routes, secrets, and enemies movesets/timings I can memorize before it's not worth the effort. Same with elden ring. It's a shame because bloodborne is one of my favorite games but I think I played it to death

I couldn't beat the final boss because I missed all the essential upgrades. took a 6 month break, came back on a fresh save, determined to find literally everything. Felt way more fresh and fun. When I finally got to Isshin it was completely different. I never needed items or abilities. I went in raw, only r1 and L1. Felt amazing. I highly recommend giving it another try. I personally love it over Bloodborne because the story and characters can make you cry because they hide how much they love Sekiro.
