Because it's an average stealth game in the shadow of some of the best games ever made.
It's got a couple neat bits I liked that I want to talk about since it's not totally without merit.
Even if it's a shameless retread of The Cradle I thought the spooky asylum was well done, the keyhole where someone is looking back and something putting it's hands on your shoulders when you're picking a lock were genuinely good moments.
I really liked when nu garret steals the big bads magic artifact out from under him and he's just genuinely flabbergasted as to what's going on in the middle of his big speech, stuttering and quietly asking for it back and why garret took it, it's only a second but I thought it was good character moment.
The most charitable read I can give it is that's it's a competently made 2014 pure stealth game with absolutely zero sauce. Like yeah it works most of the time but who the fuck cares?
