You know, I'm surprised they didn't color-code the Golden Bananas for consistency's sake with every other collectable in the game. You could even have fun with it and say that they're different precious metals.

Donkey = Golden Banana
Diddy = Ruby Banana
Lanky = Sapphire Banana
Tiny = Amethyst Banana
Chunky = Emerald Banana
