Would YOU be able to get a job in Night City, anon? There's no free gibs here... you wouldn't need to join the Scavs would you?
>>750651489There's literally money in garbage cans.
>>750651489Can I teach at the university? If not I’ll just join the nomads.
>>750651489I'll be a nomad
>>750652195>>750652272You guys know how to fix cars without readily available replacement parts?
>>750651489>vinylfags still exist in 2077
>>750651489I'm gonna get chromed out by Maelstrom and then get whacked by MaxTac
>>750652120And expensive crafting parts in random containers at every corner.I'd just put all my points into crafting and sell weapons and chrome.
>>750651489The world is ending in a couple years anyway, who gives a fuck about money.
It's kind of surprising there aren't bums or child gangs that dismember the violence victims and sell their augmentation parts to be re-ripperdoc'd into new people. Maybe there's a lore excuse I missed about how the electronics go bad when people die or whatever, but mantis blades are still mantis blades.
>>750653001What makes you think there aren't? Scavs are just the biggest most organized.
>>750653001>It's kind of surprising there aren't bums or child gangs that dismember the violence victims and sell their augmentation parts to be re-ripperdoc'd into new peopleThat's scavs
>>750653087>>750653093Scavs most abduct the living, don't they? I'm talking about groups of kids that swarm in the aftermath of every street fight to scoop up any gear they can get, which they then sell to the Scavs or whoever else is buying.
>>750651489just finished the dlc, took me a while, bought the dlc like 3 years ago and just played these last few days, man, all the endings is so fucked up, and i feel bad for songbird, even though shes a manipulating bitch, but i need that cure man.. the first ending i did was the rocket one though
>>750653378scavs is shorthand for "scavengers", them abducting living people is just next step of their business plan
>>750653443>the first ending i did was the rocket one thoughbased, I forgave songbird manipulations, in her situation manipulating V is the only option she had left
>>750651489i'd be on my knees so fast
>>750653443I honestly hate the DLC plot so fucking much. The absolute gall of CDPR to have a scene where Songbird has a semi-romantic "heart-to-heart" where she talks about her past and all that shit at her favorite secret spot...all when literally the entire time she knows for 100% fact that she's just lying and bullshitting you and intends to have you do all the work and then kill you without a second though, and not even for a moment does she consider or feel bad about this, up until she begs you to save her life at the end. Fuck her so much.
>>750655323>and then kill you without a second thoughsongbird never wanted to kill you
>>750655323Songbird never wanted to kill you but yeah shes a manipulative bitch, but honestly? I fell in love with her, i could feel the romantic tension all over v and songbird and sucks that we never get to kiss her
>>750655323She's actively dying to computer demons. I cut her some slack for being a deceptive bitch but I do wish there were dialogue options that cause her to admit there is only one cure early on. V will just die but Songbird's engram will probably be tortured forever in cyberhell if she doesn't get fixed.
>>750651489I'd like to be a netrunner. What's that like exactly? Is it hard?
>>750656962>She's actively dying to computer demonsWhich is her own fault.
>>750657256>Songbird: forced by NUSA to become Blackwall using lab rat, denied any treatment from it>V: dumbass retard who volunteered for Konpeki Plaza heist and then slotted engram into own head
>>750651489I would do just fine in any civilization where gig-economy exists
>>750657386Could've said no? Better yet, could've not been a cold distant bitch to her Brooklyn friends and speedrunning her way to netrunning legendry
>>750657386>Songbird: forced by NUSAShe committed a crime and they gave her the option to go to prison or work for them. It's her own fault. >oh no, the consequences of my actions!!
>>750652350>without readily available replacement parts?NCPD don't want you to know this but cars parked on the side of the road are free.
I am staying full ganic choom.
>>750657386Both characters made choices, but none of Songbird's choices were made with "good intentions". She did bad things, and then chose to pay for those bad things by doing worse things. V literally makes a choice that, yes putting an unknown chip in your head is a dumb move, but literally no one in his situation could have possibly had any context for "This might actually be a sentient engram program that is going to take over my brain".
>>750657386Songbird would have eventually fucked around with the blackwall even if she wasn't a spook. Her whole flashback was a highlight reel about how she's hopelessly addicted to the internet.>>750657586>She committed a crime and they gave her the option to go to prison or work for them.Wrong. Reed was sent to kill her. Instead he threw his weight to convince the government that a talented hacker like her could be used as an asset.
>>750657786And get a desk job working with Idris Elba and the NUSA?
No Id kms myself the moment I realized I live in the most overrated badly written video game world out there
>>750657919>Desk jobJust be a fixer choom.
>>750657850What good intentions did V have? Doing something dumb and reckless for the sake of a dumb and reckless idea does not make it good intentioned. He's a thief who tried to make it big and got burned just like Somi.
>>750658050NTA but the good intention was the hope that finishing the job that his best friend died of would mean his death wasn't in vain. Remember, the case the chip was in broke, which lead to it getting slotted into Jackie, then Jackie died, which lead to it being stuck into V's neck.
all you weakass nerds are dead and you don't even know it
>>750657907>Wrong. Reed was sent to kill her. Reed was sent after her because she hacked Militech, which is a crime
>>750657537>>750657586when she joined FIA none told her she'd have to be infected with cyberdemons from hell. It was "die or join our organization", everyone in her place would take the offer
id do the same thing in night city as i do irl, run a chop shop.
>>750658468Yet she committed the crime to begin with lol
Haha, Double Lexington go brrrr
>>750657850>She did bad things, and then chose to pay for those bad things by doing worse thingsshe did stupid and bad thing (hacking Militech) and after that every choice she made was done under threat of force.Does Songbird deserve a second chance in life after 13 years in FIA?
>>750651489>would I be able to get a job in Night Citybarely managed to get one last week, so anything doablenonzero chance i cyberpyscho out and end up as a anime girl
>>750659862No, because clearly she never learned.
>>750651489>Would YOU be able to get a job in Night City, anon? The game shows dozens of stores, restaurants, etc. that are all human staffed. So yeah, getting a job is very doable for me.
>>750651489I'm built different so I'd simply chrome out and become a legend.
>>750660334she did learn to trust in the end, which is why she told V the truth. Better late than never
it really is shit because your only choice is between some lying bitch and the feds. admittedly reed is pretty good to you the whole time but i just cant see v siding with them
>>750659958The good news is that there is a gang for all of those who attempt to bring moe into the 3d realm.
>>750660971V was siding with anyone that looked like they could offer a lead to a cure, if not outright the cure itself. Hell, the DLC starts because a literal stranger hacks into him and tells him "go save the president of this country that you have no allegiance to (remember, Night City is a sovereign territory separate from NUSA) by extracting her from this sovereign territory that you have no reasons to go to because I can cure you".
>>750657786Canon ending. You'll live but won't be the same. Everyone has moved on, and you are back where you started in a sense. I see much more hope in this ending then Panam's, which seems to be the brighter tomorrow ending. And Misty's speech is the only time I liked her in that whole game. Walking away I felt like V was just on the way to another adventure. No idea why they had to do River so dirty though.
>>750662138Idk i think thats the canon ending too
>>750662138>V was just on the way to another adventure.getting killed by random gonk
>>750662878V got its shit kicked in because of muscle atrophy due to being in a "coma" for 2 years.NUSA used V for 2 years, deleted memory and disabled the augs
>>750663696not only muscle atrophy, if you check V at the start of the game and in Tower ending, V has much less augmentation(not even talking about chrome), V is not just back to square one but at below floor
>>750661518Mike, I....thank you...
>>750655323You seen that film Ex Machina? Songbird is Poz'd by the AI. Truth and lie can be told at the same time, and she will do what ever she needs to do to get her way, which she always did.
>>750657850>"This might actually be a sentient engram program that is going to take over my brain".>Save my life.
>>750662138I don't think there's a single ending I dislike, all of them are so fitting.
>>750664883Some people hate Johnny, I'm more ambivalent but I really can't get behind Temperance. Not because of V accepting his time is up and giving Silverhand a new run but because Johnny immediately just cold cuts all of V's friends without leaving some message to help them understand. Particularly Panam and Mama Welles. I get Johnny wants a fresh start be he let's it get too ugly.
>>750651489>killing people for a living is a viable and legal occupationi'd be fine
>>750665652Nah you'd get flatlined easily
>>750658164that was bullshit, i hyper stealthed my way through the entire map, my V should have just slotted the chip in random hotel employee/arasaka mooks
>>750666009Why would V do that? At that point in the game he doesn't know that the chip would try to replace him with Johnny. He was just sticking it in his neck to keep it from degrading due to not being in its climate controlled container anymore. Hell, he wasn't even trying to access the chip to see what its about.
>>750658164>he good intention was the hope that finishing the job that his best friend died of would mean his death wasn't in vainthat's not "good intention">oh no, something we stole that's worth millions of eddies is about to lose all it's value, I'll try to slot it in me so we can still make money
>>750651489Yeah I'm a corpo
>>750666504The heist was, in Jackie's perspective, their meal ticket to being a legend in Afterlife. Completing the mission for his dream is why V went and did that, the fat paycheck is a secondary goal.
>>750666652So Jackie was doing it for himself and V is enabler. Jackie and V did Arasaka heist for ego and eddiesSongbird hacked militech facility for her ego and eddies There's simply no moral highground
What's your guys favorite Attribute/playstyle. I ignored Cool for a long time but it's really quite fun if you stack all the slow mo cyberware and do stealth missions super fast. It's just odd you have to crouch run everywhere. It's also a bit of a shame that's Cools few and far between dialogue checks generally aren't very good.
>>750667112A moral high ground has nothingl to do with being well intentioned. Fuck off with that goalpost moving.
>>750651489I'd try to murder my way up the corporate ladder. If that fails I could always fall back on being a corpo golem (soldier)
>>750667762easily sandevistan with knives and katana, they are really OP and fun
>>750668465It's nice how strong of a defensive option Katanas are. Reflex is fun but early on I often find it kind of awkward because of how tight some of your spaces are and how hit scanny enemies are unless you're moving at mach speeds, which I often felt less able to reliably do compared to just using stealth and the game's cover system.
