Pokemon is one of the few series where you'd actually just be broken as hell if you were just warped into the world as you are now because a trainer's power is a combination of their understanding of how pokemon work and their companionship with their team. You know where artifacts and creatures of great power rest and if you're as bad as I am, you know where every pokemon up until you stopped playing can be found.

Nowhere, if you’re not Ash or the MC of one the game’s it’s a hell hole where all it takes to kill you or loved ones/Pokémon is the wrong Legendary in a bad mood blowing through wherever you live.Plus there’s also Team Rocket and the various active gangs/terrorist movements each region features to watch out for too.
