>Normal gamer: "I'll make my character look cool and flashy. After all he's my virtual ME! It's gaming time!">Young gamers and streamers: "I'll use max sliders for everything, weird color combinations for skin and hair and also mixed male and female features. This isn't me... Games are fucking stupid... I'll proceed to troll and ruin everyone's experience with this game."Why are young gamers and streamers so afraid of sincerity?
posting the same stale bait threads over and over sounds like a bigger aversion to sincerity to me
>>750640384I love my purple skinned, big nosed, ginger darks souls character named Diefo Risrael though

>>750640384>Why are young people so afraid of sincerity?Because social media has meant ruthless, unnatural levels of criticism for any and all forms of genuine human behavior. So if no behavior is ever serious, criticism of it cant be serious and therefore the person doing the behavior is absolved. Because it wasn't ACTUALLY them. They were being "ironic." Because everyone now records everything IRL, this has extended to IRL interactions. Anything you say or do could be clipped, uploaded, shared and viewed by literally millions of people. Giving unprecedented levels of performance anxiety just to exist naturally in a way that represents you. Its why subcultures have all but died out. Tl:dr Social media made being a genuine and sincere person forbidden.
Posted it again awardYou're a zoomer obsessed with cringe culture and self-image who doesn't remember the times of Spore dick creatures.
