I think a lot of people liked Jackie, and if anything, he would have made a better MC than V or at least writing him off was a bit stupid. No one who speaks Spanish actually talks like this, they don't randomly inject Spanish words into English sentences to add some sort of punctuation or emphasis. But script-writers do it because it's a shortcut to making someone "feel" more ethnic because they use words you don't know but understand contextually, in the same way that sometimes movies have people speaking English but with an ethnic accent because you're supposed to understand that they're actually speaking a different language but they can't do that because the movie would need subtitles. Basically, if you have a guy who just speaks with a Latino accent, it's weird, because if he's just American with an accent then it might come off as offensive. But if he throws in some ethnic words, now he's actually a speaker of that language so his accent isn't offensive and he can be made to mix in those words with normal English (even though he's 100% fluent in English so there's no reason to do that) because now it makes him seem like he's actually from somewhere else. It's dumb, but it's a writing thing, it's not a thing real people do. No bilingual person is actually just going to randomly insert non-English words into their sentences because they know that obviously the person they're talking to doesn't know what that means.
