I brought one, quite happy with it, have no gaming PC, just a shitty laptop, PS4 and SW1 (and now SW2). Can emulate most things too. I'm also lazy and have money to burn.

I like my steam machine because I barely play games I just torrent anime and browse x and occasionally play wow. If you want to use it as a gaming pc its terrible. I just put void linux musl on it and called it a day, it looks cute on my desk

I wanted one but thought it was overpriced for what you get so I bought a mini-PC instead and installed linux on it. That's the thing. Valve provided a consolebox for consoletards to see if they're interested, but they don't force you to play steam games on their overpriced steambox as if it was a console. You have the option to choose.A Playstation is just a FreeBSD box. Imagine if you could just buy any mini-PC and install FreeBSD on it to play playstation games. Would be so cool, but of course Sony would never allow it.
