Government and other corporation funds keep them afloat (for now), they are literally operating on borrowed money. The moment they are forced to repay, it's over for them.
It's why they want everyone to use their systems, not only it give them control on the world, but it also is used as leverage so that they are forced to not repay the companies since everything would work using their infrastructure if their plan succeeded.
