Bloodlust movie is much better than the books but the first movie is about par. Writing picks up around book 4 or 5 as he finds his groove. It is quite fun regardless but significantly more fun with a mod that removes the restriction on 1 of each attack type equipped at a time. There is even a mod that lets you design your own combos across all attack types if that's your thing. Control Resonant is a juggler's dream. It isn't as deep as DMC but it certainly can be with the aforementioned mods to unlock the loadout/equipment restrictions. I built around "launch" in the game exclusively to control the flow of fights and it feels great imo. Fatal Frame 1I like the game, it has a great atmosphere and it's tense but it's also just kind of annoying to play. I appreciate the devs did a lot with a little but the game is just go here, go there, go back to where you were, some stuff is slightly different now, unlock this door, actually behind that door was another locked door that you need to backtrack to unlock yet again. I mean the entire game is built around backtracking and it does it really well, thinking about going back makes you think aw fuck I hope a tough ass ghost isn't waiting for me back there now but ultimately it's still backtracking and by its nature just repetitive. Among the big horror franchises it's probably my least favorite although still good and worth a play especially considering the unique premise and fun albeit seen a million times by now story. Here's my ranking of all the big name horror franchises Clocktower > Silent Hill > Resident Evil > Fatal Frame > All the western action slop horror (not to say I don't like action slop but if I'm looking for spooky I'd be playing those last)
