As broken all their effects are, you actually do need to use them all to beat maps, very cool design. Only problem is how high the enemy quality is nearing the Endgame, you are forced to use Backups. But positioning them for their chain attacks properly is also a fun part of the game too. I just think the game is fun and challenging

And I gotta say, I like the idea of controlling multiple squads on the map, but it really highlights how unbalanced the characters are in terms of map interaction. Cai and Theodora are literally the only ones capable of doing anything useful. And why? When the entire world is uniting under The Promised One's banner, why can't Eshmel recruit battalions? Couldn't Bertrand do it too, at least? How come Eshmel can capture mounts, but only Cai can plant the bait? Trying to ape current LLMs would heavily date the game and I don't think the "personality" of LLMs would suit Vritra's story role very well. I could think of a way to have Vritra be a dark inverse to Sothis by contrasting how while she is stern she does have genuine compassion for humanity versus Vritra communicating amicably but ultimately being an unfeeling machine. Given how obvious all the flame lord tacticians having some kind of visual impairment as a theme seemed to be but nothing coming of it I think an idea like that is probably above IS's pay grade.I'm also already seeing a theory floating around that Vritra is powered by a Founder heart core or something and that's why it seemed to have advanced knowledge of Nabateans compared to even the other megaliths.
