I like seeing games being converted to old consoles, been seeing a lot of conversions for ps2, n64 and dreamcast.

I saw Half Life 64 and it looks neat, Im gonna try it once I'm done with N64 Dark Forces.
Also hoping the guy behind the RE1 N64 port is doing some progress.

HL64 is neat but definitely doesn't look as complete as the PS1 version. Seems more hastily put together.

it's still in beta so i hope it gets more optimisations

I'd love to see ports of the DS version of Skate It to the PS1, and the Wii version to PS2, with the twin stick "flick it" controls of the main Skate games.

We need more 32X games.

I mostly just see shit in the N64 port/romhack realm these days, or 50th "3d game in SNES guys! Ignore that it's barely 5fps" project. Anything that's been worth a shit of late for N64 besides the HL1 port?

Croc is getting a port to N64 soon
>>
>>750622627
Star Wars Dark Forces
Duke Nukem 3D (not the N64 version, the original 3D with all four episodes and iirc the expansions)
Halo CE (Multiplayer with online capabilities)
Resident Evil 1
Croc Legend of the Gobbos (official port by ModRetro, they also said they're doing more games)
Tomb Raider (OpenLara)
Silent Hill

Huh. I was just playing Duke 64 yesterday. Tried doing it on Come Get Some (3rd difficulty) and the game kicks your fucking shit in since they didn't tweak any of the enemy AI to account for your shit controller vs. PC.

I might have to give the Halo one a look for the novelty of online on N64 (even though odds are no one's playing it), given it works with my flashcart.

>>750623059
afaik you need a summercart64 with the usb-c port

>>750623315
Yeah, it's what I got. Kinda waiting to see if someone could ever use that port for supporting retro achievements, since SC64 supports memory peeking while a game is active, but I doubt that'll happen.

What I find more interesting are the romhacks that improve the game's performance on its original system. Eg. The ones for SNES that either optimize the math further, or leverage one of the many microprocessor chips. Goldeneye & Perfect Dark on N64 had performance hacks as well just due to how rushed those games were.
