I've tried out a pretty decent variety of models and the better ones still end up having the same problems at some point. Though I've never actually used a good model from the start, I typically try them out when it starts acting retarded. I don't have any issues 200 messages in, but once it starts getting in the 500s and beyond then of course it can't remember shit from 10-20 messages ago and starts tripping itself up on even basic instructions and details. Summarization has never helped much. I haven't messed around with this shit since june though so maybe it's gotten better. It's still not quite there yet for long term text adventures.

I remember 400+ messages deep it remembered a detail from 50+ messages ago that I myself didn't fucking remember since I was busy writing emotionally charged scenes and curating 900+ token replies, and that was just on ds 3.2.I still use 3.2 honestly. 4 doesn't seem to like to be mean at all.
