Romances are the worst thing that could've happened to BioWare, they should've been just another trope in the list of making an adventure RPG story feel like a cool journey; like not only do you get to be the hero and slay the bad guy, you get a fade to black sex scene like in muh movies. It was a simple feelgood element for virgin nerds. Instead ME2 turned it into this tumblrfest where you've now got people that unironically played these games only for the romance and to write fanfic about the characters. And while the gayness was admittedly always stronger in the Dragon Age side of things, ME2 had Tali and fuck me there's autists in this very board that simp for her and Liara to this day.Romance was the death of BioWare.
