sup /v/what's it like being poor and unlucky
why buy this compared to other vr headsets
>>750597478>what's it like being poorcouldn't tell you, I don't throw my money away
>>750597580there's zero friction between the games and booting up firefox to get a pirate stream goingand then attach it to your hand while you play slay the spire in a theater
>>750597478Maybe after 3 failed launches, Valve will finally wise up and properly handle logistics next time.
I completely forgot about this. Are people still waiting for their orders?
>>750598727People on the waitlist aren't getting there's until 2028.
>Estimated order availability: 2027
>>750598835>>750598854yfw i'm not ordering one until there isn't a waiting liststraight up just gonna wait a couple years
>>750599197I would apply for purchase just so you're in the queue. When the time comes you can just ignore it if you don't want it anymore. There's no telling if they're going to do another run. I applied for the Steam Machine just to see the queue and it doesn't even give me an estimate. It says, "We will email you IF a unit becomes available."
>>750599197By that time it's going to be underpowered and cost $2000. Look at what happened with the Deck.
I love mine. Been using Codex to make VR mods and it's been fucking great. Taking a break from Zomboid to make one for Deadlock. Unfortunately, recording anything on this fucking thing is a royal pain in the ass which makes it very difficult to share any progress.
>>750599454By that point in time hardware prices might have crashed
>>750597478I wouldn't know
what are some vr games/mod to try bros
>>750599454underpowered compared to more expensive products that release in the next few years sure but it'll be just as powerful as it is nowas for price i'd expect that to come down once there's leftover stock nobody else wants
>>750599454Arguably, the Deck is still one of these best handhelds on the market. It was only bested by my 2tb Legion Go 2 when I put SteamOS on it. Still, the Steam Deck remains in my rotation with those amazing trackpads and relatively compact profile.
>>750597478what's it like being an incel, unloved and probably suicidal?
>>750597478its not too bad, its a humbling experience.
>>750600410I've been playing FEAR VR by TheFreeMike. Another popular one is Titanfall 2. The developer just started the beta for VR multiplayer yesterday(?) Haven't tried it yet, waiting for a sale.
>flexing a cheap VR headset with an inflated priceif you're not poor get an apple vision pro
>>750597478Wheres my steam machine?
>>750600553That's because the market is so limited in competition. At the current price point, the Deck pales in comparison with its newer competitors. If it was at its original price point, an argument can be made but not with this price inflation.
I've been on the list since day-one, but for whatever reason I received this ten days ago: Doesn't seem like I am any closer to getting one.
>>750602683If your in Seattle you can buy mine for msrp. Im done with it going back to quest 3. Controllers are too much of a downgrade
>>750603656You actually think the controllers are a downgrade? I find them to be much better.
