the last quarter of the game was so fucking rushed>no 4th sanctuary>last level is two gimmicks (one of them new, seconds before the final boss), one miniboss and no regular platforming>flying ship with horrible hitboxes in Iron Mountains>Tomb of the Ancients feels like they were already out of ideasand still a gigakino game
I never played 2, only Revolutionhow do they compare?
>>750595594I've owned this game for decades and have still never gotten past the flying shell segment.Maybe I should dig my copy out of storage and have another go as an adult.
>>7505957322 has less content but less filler too
>>750595732it is 90% the same exact game, however10 cages = instant life upgrade, no need to beat a shitty minigamechair ride is its own sublevel in Top of the World instead of a minigameless pirates to fightno overworldno grolem 13, biditank/Factory or that black worm miniboss in one of the sanctuariesno rain maskno shopdifferent skyboxes, 3d models and some environmentsRevolution on paper is a massive upgrade but I think most of what it added is pointless bloat. The fourth sanctuary, an improved flying ship segment and some real platforming in the pirate's ship would have fixed the original release, but they added so much crap that made it worse, on top of running at 30 fps. Also fuck that endless horde of pirates in the overworld, wtf were they thinking with that shit.
>>750595594So, what's the best version of Rayman 2?
>>750596334>have still never gotten past the flying shell segment.you quit the game like a minute before reaching the final boss, sad
>>750596961dreamcast
>>750596961Dreamcast. N64 is decent too.
>>750597697>>750597879PCHall of Doors >>>>>>> Isle of Doorsand less pirates to fight
I admit it, I could never beat the final phase of the robot guy. The inverted flight controls while he blasts you from afar filtered me.
