What's MORE is that what happens in bg1 is not carried over to BG2 so you can meet Viconia and be friendly with her no matter what happened with her in 1.

On the other hand Wenduag is put in a situation where you have to actively chase away Lann to defend her right after she confesses to being evil and unapologetic, COMPLETELY different scenario. Wenduag also keeps murdering people, while Viconia is at worst just a bit toxic to the rest of the party.
