I don't think there's anyone under the age of 40 who is a genuine sports fan in America. It's like a generational thing that boomers did sincerely and Xers did ironically or just for the beer. I'm old enough to remember sports bars being a thing but even when I was drinking every weekend they were kind of empty and low energy.
