neither of the Ori games are perfect, but they are still vastly superior to most games I've played in the last decade. I'll be interested to see how they did with No Rest For The Wicked in a few more months.

The game ending on a "bossfight" that's just a giant chase sequence where you lose in a cutscene and then the final boss just commits suicide because it feels sorry for what a loser you are is a cherished memory, what a shitty game. Sequels much better honestly.

Ori demands no skill all throughout and suddenly it's a high skill segment, this burst in difficulty always got me but i think i got a lot of people, they're cinematic as well ensuring the player invariably fucks up the best part. It's a weird game structure and usually the game's hard as a baseline and the cinematic segments are easy but here it was other way around.
