If you use gaming as a tool to sharpen your mind, the amount of time you can spend with it and be happy is effectively unlimited. I'm quasi-retired in my early 30s and spent a decent amount of time gaming this year, average a couple of hours a day and have about 20 quality clears this year. I spend the lion's share of my time on productive things, like going to the gym, trying to pick up women, studying foreign languages, but gaming is something I amable to consistently engage with and get satisfaction from.

When you get away from gaming enough it feels way better when you do finally get time to play. Honestly this goes two ways.
