I'm just going digital. I've got a NAS with every rom, iso, game I could ever want. I'm collecting recomps now. Shits crashing and burning so I'm stockpiling for the fallout.

The problem I have with digital is that I've lost access to accounts in the past. I've also had trouble migrating accounts to new devices when upgrading hardware. You can't really count on customer service. For me personally, it's not even about the ownership rights or control of the digital files. I would be okay with renting or leasing my games if the price was right and the contract agreeable. The problem is that every single time these companies seem intent of tricking me into getting trapped in their fucking walled garden. I'd honestly rather buy a single game with a ticking expiry date on it. I don't give a shit if the price is right. But this service-based anti-consumer prison shit has got to go.
