Unironically because they lack imagination and the depth of experience and character needed to role play.Narrative games like RDR2 where you're given a character with defined personality and morality traits remove the actual difficult moral decisions roleplaying presents.Because the character is it's own entity, you never have to apply your own morality or beliefs to a situation you may never have encountered. "Well Arthur wouldn't do X because Y" is a shallow non-choice, no consideration as to *why* they feel uncomfortable doing something, or equally fine with doing something else, because the character's attitude is predetermined and thus the player's response is.They think it's so good because their feelings of morality or personality it's never actually challenged, they sit safe from introspection behind a proxy.
