I'm using Claude to build a single player version of SS13 with AI bots instead of players. I am currently running 10 bots on the station while testing it and it's barely using any memory, so I can probably get around 30 or maybe even 50 bots at the same time. So far they only have basic job functionality and are reactive to the environment and events that happen around them, they also have basic memory and communication. Claude also made the client run a lot smoother and load faster, haven't even used a quarter of my weekly tokens yet and I'm on the cheapest subscription.It's just for fun though, plus I'm not playing the tranny version of the game that is ss14 :)

If you're willing to just wait for processing and pay for electricity and GPU, you can use your own computer at home to do this, as much as you want to. And this is the worst it's going to be, in theory the requirements are just going to continue to be optimized down, supply and demand will eventually equalize on hardware, and quality of generated results should continue to improve, all of these things are happening in parallel so things should just keep getting more accessible and easier for people to do these kinds of things, while also making for better results.
