I tried Wukong and the crab one but they both feel off. In ds3 it's never impossibly hard to dodge boss attacks because they usually do a little nudge to tell you they're about to swing after the initial wind-up Margit is a good example of what I mean. He'll raise his club, stop at the top, then raise it slightly more right as he's about to slam it down. Most Fromsoft bosses have simple warnings and generally predictable patterns like this. Most souls-likes bosses don't because they don't realize that Fromsoft games are supposed to hard but fair.

How the fuck you dodge the white flowers during the bride boss fight?
The game feels weirdly slow compared to how fast every other game tries to be but it's a pretty nice change of pace. I'm not too far in, right before some steam building after I fight a big axe guy but it doesn't feel like a souls game outside of healing items recovering at bonfires. You don't even have respawning enemies as far as I've seen.

You can’t really sit around and wait like in a traditional souls like game. It also has combos but not like in DMC. Typical square, square, square stuff. However it also has the parry slop from Sekiro but the game isn’t reliant on it. It does have a posture system but dodging is viable. And I’m not just saying that you can’t basically dodge your way through everything and use sha-chi attacks to do posture damage. The game is more forgiving than typical souls shit but that’s because there’s no enemy respawn and no multiple phase boss fight do overs. You knock phase out and die, you don’t have to do the first phase again. It’s not braindead but even on the hardest difficulty point is to make you look lore accurate cool. If you played the new Onimusha it kinda has that vibe too.

And this carried over to Elden Ring. Saying Fromsoft bosses are fair when Consort Radahn was one of if not the most bullshit boss in this genre is complete and utter Miyazaki dick sucking. And it also shows this is a skill issue. If delayed attacks or unfair boss patterns are an issue for you then you’re lying about how you feel about Fromsoft. Mortal Shell 2 probably has some of the most fair bosses in the genre and Lords of Fallen 23 bosses are fucking dog shit on account that they were so fucking easy.
