It's a little uncomfortable, but if I claw grip the first one I can sometimes manage to destroy it and also bomb the first group of enemies to pick up the laser upgrade for the remaining 11 saucers/umbrellas. Strangely the best I ever did was during a time I missed the laser upgrade.
