>Hello, Citizens of New Jerusalem,>Starting today, the base price of The Talos Principle 2 has increased from $29.99 to $39.99 USD, with regional prices adjusted accordingly.>The cost of developing and supporting games has continued to rise significantly in recent years, as inflation has pushed costs up around the world. Taking this into account, we’ve made the decision to adjust the base price of the game.>This wasn’t a decision we made lightly, and we understand that nobody particularly enjoys seeing a price go up. We wanted to explain the reasoning behind the change rather than make it without context.>If you already own The Talos Principle 2, nothing changes for you.>Thank you, as always, for supporting the game and for being part of the community.>Much love, Croteamhttps://store.steampowered.com/news/app/835960/view/679639664218341868?l=englishThis industry needs to crash ASAP
>>750564365Raising the price 3 years after launch is some next level clown shit. Usually you drop the base price and make it up on DLC/bundles, not go "uhh inflation happened so this old digital product costs more now."At this point the only sane move is wishlist everything and buy it 80% off, or just never buy anything at all. They trained everyone to wait and then act shocked when nobody buys day one.
>your prices go up>your pay never doescurious!
it was $3 last month and I still didn't buy it because it's a shit game and a ue5 slop on top
>>750564365>30% price hikeThe fuck?
>>750564365If they cut out 30% of pointless walking between puzzles in return I'd take it.
>>750564365Crazy how the cost of developing a game that has already been developed has shot up a quarter.
>>750564365>announce price increase by referencing jerusalem in the first sentenceBold strategy, Cotton.
>>750564638But when Factorio does it, it's okay, m i rite?
>price increase of a fucking DIGITAL gameClown world
Is this jewvolver or the actually devs making the decision?
Good thing I don't buy slop from a mediocre game developer, didn't care about the Reddit Principle the first time
>>750564365>thing i own goes up in pricei feel richer already
>>750564365>puts a gay jew robot in youre gameuh, thanks?
>>750564365Wasn't it on sale for -90% like 3 weeks ago?
Good thing I bought it for pennies a couple of weeks ago. Strange thing, to put it on a deep discount sale and then not long later increase the price, if it's that direly in need of charging more then why not use a smaller discount
What the fuck this isn't GTA 5
ACK
>>750565153That was so baffling to me, the best part of the game is puzzles but you're constantly stuck talking to gay robots about gay 2deep4me topics for no reason at all
>>750564638They do that shit with subscriptions like PSN and say it's oil pricesPURE KIKERY
>>750564704My wages go up every year but prices go up every day, means fuck all when everything is inflated
>>750565121You should sell it for 35 dollars
>>750564638>At this point the only sane move is wishlist everything and buy it 80% offAre you saying you don't do that already? Why would you buy more expensive when you can wait for a sale?
>>750564958In factorios case it's based because it also never goes on sale, it's an autistic value stubbornly clung to which is admirable The extra large price raise in Russia that he tried to play off as an accident was pathetic though.
>>750564365I thought New Jeruselam part was added by OP but it's in the actual news post, is the game related to Jewish mythology or something?
>>750564638this is arguably their goal. Jack up the default price so they can sell it at the old default price but the buyer sees a green graphic with 30% discount so their brain thinks 'consoooom'
>>750564365Huh? I bought it for $2 on the last sale.
>>750564365Big deal, I bought it in 2023.
>>750564638>wishlist everything and buy it 80% offI'm at the point where I get a steam notification for a wishlisted game now being 70% or 80% off and still think it's too expensive. $5 or pirate indiecuck, you choose
Talos 1 was already mediocre, I don't think I'll even pirate this.
>>750564365Oh no! The $0 game increased to $00?
>>750565510Talos 1 is a Garden of Eden holodeck episode. Talos 2 is an away mission with Prometheus’s fire.
I tried this game for 3h and it was trash. The puzzles were easy figure out but tedious to do, most of the time there wasn't even any thinking just collect some random parts and arrange them in an obvious way.I quit when the robot replay puzzle mechanic. No way I'm doing all this tedious shit waiting for my ghost replay
