Cool
>>750561891Literally the very first line, retardbro.
The thing I dislike about these slop translations, aside from zero quality control, is how lazy they are. Sloppers thinking they’re doing a public service by typing ‘sir please english, make no mistake’ into their $20 claude subscription - and then fucking advertising it like some sort of WIP.>Manga artwork remains Japanese, general movie/voice subtitles are unfinished, and some graphic text remains Japanese. Full playthrough testing is ongoing. What the fuck have you actually done then? You haven’t even confirmed the entire game is playable? The grand sum of this project is just string extraction (presuming text is something other than plain UTF8 on disc), piped through deepl or some shit. It’s fucking infuriating capable game translators that would put in that hard work are crusading against AI, while lazy retards are spitting out an ocean of "v0.1.0" and expecting everyone else to get it over the line.
>>750558923>I have translated>I
>>750563950My issue is that it ends up killing the chance for a human translation simply because they exist. Its existence means that everyone will simply avoid even trying to improve on the translation or do their own because something else could get translated instead. Unless you're something like an SNES Final Fantasy or a Fire Emblem you're typically not getting retranslations at all unless the original translation was so unusable people had to go and fix it like Silhouette Mirage.
