If you are curious, just give it a go and try to grind to Lv. 15 or something, maybe you'd enjoy it.

Redid my mage skills, I have now revised the build order.The true order (until percentage potions) is now max recovery, 1 point in max MP, 3 points in MG, max MA, and 12 points in energy bolt, which makes it decently strong and an incredibly viable 12MP skill you can use constantly due to it's increased range. By third job maybe you can justify switching to max MP instead, but I think it's actually worthless given how minimal the increase is. At best it's a tiny boost to MP recovery.
