One of the things they changed that I don't see people mention is that because they added a bunch of new quests, they nerfed the amount of rep you get from most early quests to prevent people from shooting straight to exalted. Its not doomer/pessimism, probably more realism. We've been down this road so many times. Been burned by Blizzard so many times. And they're already throwing up red flags. The weirdly out of place elves, them not committing to horizontal progression, some of the writing. Don't get me wrong, there's some good things about it. But there's enough questionable things in combination with Blizzard that I think the attitude is warranted. Of course time will only tell.My guess is that just like other games, initially it will be good. But because the average "gamer" has the attention span of a tadpole, a majority of the people who play Forever will leave the game in 6-8 months. It will continue to trend downward with small spikes for major releases, as with every game and mmorpg now. Blizzard will realize they're not making enough money or stakeholders aren't happy with declining revenues. Then we will see modern Blizzard stuff. WoW token, level boosts, etc. Its a lack of faith in not only Blizzard, but the gaming community overall due to previous behaviors/decisions.
