Sped down a vine to avoid a turret and SUCCESSFULLY DODGED THE SHOT, but little did I know that there was a landmine at the bottom waiting for me.For a brief moment, I thought I got clear, but when it exploded and sent me flying I was resigned to a long fall and a lot of recovery time. Back broken, ribs broken, limbs full of shrapnel, the works. Fortunately, I had a LOT of medical sutures and other supplies stockpiled, so I figured I'd make it through.Unfortunately, a Sand Crawler had other ideas. The jerk got me in the head before I could recover and knocked me unconscious. It really is a magic lifesaver juice.I set the radtimer to 30minutes and started us halfway down the layer and it really shortened the duration of the lobby. We did all 5 layers in about 4 hours and 30 minutes which is incredible, frankly. Anon's mod that lets us start at a custom depth in the layer is perfect for this, because in the past having a shorter radline often meant the lobby getting caught by the radline in the middle of the layer and having to flee the entire last half of the layer with many tragic accidents and deaths as a result.For this half-size condensed layer run I set loot and traps to 2x. My logic was it's like we're condensing the entire layer into a shorter length, so it should have all the loot and traps that would have spawned contained in the half-sized playable area. It worked.I experimented with deleting liquids to improve my low fps but it only made a minor difference most of the time. I'm talking improvements of just 5-7 fps.Thanks for playing, everyone.
