I've just found out 私の可愛い子猫ちゃん3 has been released on June. I didn't see it advertised on twitter nor it was listed on any blog. I even checked Galette's site before placing my proxy order and they had removed all the books they had before, now I see they moved to Booth, though there are only the issues of the magazine and the latest volumes, everything older than those is not there.Obviously now it's out of stock on amazon and booth because they print 2 copies, it's still on melonbooks, costing 2200 yen instead of 1800 for no apparent reason, but I've already placed my proxy order this year and it will definitely sell out before I'll be able to buy it.What a terrible job at promoting and selling their stuff.

From what I pieced together the Consumer Product Safety Act went into effect a few months ago so now customs is flagging any package with something passably considered to be for children needs some type of child safety document or they just seize the package. It also looks like you will need to include the certificate with the customs filing to even get something in that category shipped starting next month, which may or may not be a good thing to feel like something won't get stolen by customs but will undoubtedly be a pain in the ass to file ourselves if we are forwarding something. Strangely I got my first box of books this month completely duty and fee free, not even a broker fee. Not sure what is going on with any of this and I just want to buy yuri in peace.

Just got in a delivery filled with 15kg of yuri. Taking the rest of the week off from work to splash around in it like scrooge mcduck. I totally forgot about some of them because they were sitting in a warehouse for months and I'm blown away by how cool they look. Yuri is the greatest thing on this planet.
Hand drawn mini shikishi illustrations are probably the most exciting things to open. I'm not sure how to safely store or display them but they will be treasured. I definitely prefer this to the illustrated books because I can actually display these in a reasonable way. The cpk limited edition BD set is gorgeously crafted and definitely makes me feel better about its price tag. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the giant clear poster in the background so for now it is destined to be a desk mat to stack yuri on top of.
I bought what I'm assuming is a knockoff acrylic standee from china. I was buying some random junk on aliexpress and it popped up a coupon for a free item while I was about to check out, so I got this because why not. Surprisingly it has a ton of bootleg yuri. As far as jpegs on a piece of plastic goes this isn't bad. The bubbles and opacity on the clear plastic is because I didn't realize it had a plastic film protector on it that I needed to peel off. The plastic is pristine without it.
Melonbooks and gamers are blocking non-jp IPs now. Can't go a month without some other misfortune in the pursuit of buying yuri.

Theres a lot of chinese acrylics on places like ebay, but surprisingly theyre all unique designs from i've seen and not trying to replicate existing official ones.Havent bought any of the chinese ones, but i've purchased a few acrylics from JP artists who put their leftovers on booth, and they've all really good. Only issue i've had was that one acrylic sat a bit loose in the base, but putting a sliver of scotch tape on the little protrusion to thicken it solved that.I bought an acrylic for murcielago a while back and the seller on booth even gave me a handdrawn postcard of Kuroko which was cute

Spent the past few weeks buying a bunch of different types of binders to store my cards in, even ring binders with swappable sleeves. Then ended up getting annoyed because the pages in ring binders would slide on the bottom ring and end up sagging, damaging the bottom of the sleeves.I ended up overthinking it though, as a standard sized trading card portfolio is perfect for storing all the different kinds i had (trading cards, event card illustrations, telephone cards, those poloroid photo style cards, etc). Was worried they'd slid out since its side-loading, but the backing prevents that pretty well.Also bought some cheap 4x6 photo frames for the postcards which i believe are KG (4x6) size, but the dimensions are slightly off. Same thing happened a while back when i bought a frame from a local shop that was the same dimensions that google lists B2 as, and ended up having to import specifically a B2 frame. Am i stupid or is there a minor size difference between western/JP frames, even under the same advertised dimensions?

Maybe the occasional tapestry will have the same art but I have too many of those as well that I can't use so it feels more appropriate turning them into an art book format. I agree on the book covers being a pain but at least folding them over the existing book cover usually works and keeps it organized although it isn't ideal for keeping track of them.
