Handguns are hard to shoot, and seeing some faggot holding a gun like that demonstrates they don't know what the fuck they're doing, so escape is a high probability.

He's hipshooting with 6 shots of small calibre, so I'm willing to take the risk by sprinting to the water and diving for safety. Worst case (in which I survive) is I get hit and we float around until a passing boater picks us up.
