I think it showcases both good and bad men. Dr. Chilton, Miggs, Hannibal, (allthough there are these weird appeals to sympathy for him), the guy who killed the lambs which traumatized Clarice and Bill (yeah I know but he is still bilogically male) and I guess all the officers at the wake being all "whats a woman doing here" body language towards Clarice are the bad men. Crawford (allthough they make it ambigious at times) and Clarice dad (the way he is charecterized throughout the film and also portrayed in the flashback) are the good men along others I forget right now.The bad guys far outweigh the good guys though it must be said.
