First half of Nosferatu was good, just like all stories of Dracula it turns to shit when it's in London. One day they will and should leave out that part entirely. The Vviking (tm) felt like he was trying to impress studio execs. It was bog standard revenge schlock. It didn't feel like his style at all. Like he was barely in control of it.....Maybe they fucked him over in editing or something. It's been known to happen with directors when they first get in charge of a really big budget studio film.

I have not seen the Witch but I think all his other movies are in the 6 to 7/10 range, which makes him a great director by modern standards.. :)
I never saw the old Nosferatu so this movie pissed me off, but it turns out that it's a faithful adaptation to original so that made me a little less pissed off about it. It still sucks and I feel like the movie is only half good, as in you could shut it off halfway through and enjoy it more.
