Maybe it was the moment in time when I watched it or something like that but I noticed so many more plot conveniences this time around. I have had this same thing happen with music too. Certain bands or albums, when I revisit them, I kind of wonder what I ever saw in them.
It’s called getting older and it sucks sometimes.
No idea what you’re talking about. Parody videos of Scream still hit harder than A24 zoomer bullshit. https://youtu.be/-7gexkwY0Cg

The thread was specifically about which MOVIES other people had similar experiences withOne day I will leave this place...God willing
>>224038850maybe it hits different but it's still pretty great, very 90s for me. do you disagree?
GMKUsed to be my 3rd favorite G film but my last viewing wasn't kind to it.Still on my favorite Kaiju film list but near the end.
>>224038850>noticed so many more plot conveniences this time aroundSuch as?
Watch Phenomena if you haven't but never rewatch it.
Goodfellas. I feel like it glorifies the lifestyle and those subhuman thugs.Breaking Bad. Marathoned it at it's peak, now I find it pretty cringe.
>>224038850If we're talking horror then the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Watched it again earlier this year for the first time in a long, long while and it just didn't land like it did. Pretty much all the acting outside of Robert Englund sucked (Heather Langenkamp being the worst), all the characters aside from Nancy are annoyingly useless and have nothing to do, and the only good kill is Tina at the beginning.>>224039512Would have been better if they went with Varan and Anguirus alongside Baragon like Kaneko originally wanted. Still a good flick, but definitely overrated. Normoids have no idea how much Godzilla Minus One lifted from this movie, including Godzilla's "death."
>>224039679Yeah Heather is much better in 3 & New Nightmare.I personally liked Lisa in 2 more than Nancy in 1.
>>224038850Reservoir Dogs, second time I saw it was nowhere near as engaging. Knowing where the movie was going made some scenes a lot less interesting. Thought it might because of the non-linear way it's structured but I found Pulp Fiction was just as good on rewatches so nope.
>>224039512>>224039679TBF I still see GMK as the 2nd best of the Millennium films. I put the underrated 2000 as best.GXMG is good but also kinda overrated.
>>224038850That's why I typically don't rewatch movies. Only examples that come to mind to me are old Pixar movies and the first Raimi Spiderman.
>>224038850last time I watched Scream I couldn't stop laughing at all the scenes Scary Movie parodied, like when the retarded cop walks up to the phone after Sydney was called while holding his dick vacuum
